 1:1 Mentoring with Physio's

An external mentor can be a valuable resource for a physiotherapist and a practice owner.  Running a physio practice is hard work and finding the time to invest in everyone is a full-time role.  A mentor can provide support, encouragement and upskilling to any physiotherapy team member whether it be to stretch them further or merely assist in their development.

Most physiotherapists want to improve their knowledge, skills and clinical reasoning. A mentor can provide:

  • Guidance and support.
  • A fresh perspective and new ideas
  • Helping to develop leadership skills
  • Providing accountability

Director - Back in Motion on Murray

I wanted to thank you for the work you have done with XXXXX to date, his performance has dramatically improved as you can see below (figures from Jan-Apr 2024 vs 2025). Gross revenue is up 64% with a 33.3% increase in per consult revenue. A 209% increase in PVA, an increase 18.5% in Rebooks with a 14.3% decrease in Patients without upcoming and all this on 50% decrease in New patients. Which are all fantastic numbers and can help you quantify your impact, however, for me, the impact your work has had on XXXXX's confidence to do his job has been significant, observable and has allowed those numbers to increase.

Thank you again for todays session, as I found it immensely beneficial. Thank you for sending through those articles, as I am very interested in giving them a read after our discussions today.

As I briefly touched upon towards the end of todays session. I firmly believe these specific mentoring sessions on higher level communication have been extremely impactful in my own clinical skillset and have made a huge difference in my caseload/diary. Communication is definitely an area that is often overlooked or an area that I have found clinicians under-value compared to other Professional Development courses. They definitely have their place and are important in upskilling. However, communication and having that ability to relate, connect and build upon with patients is so powerful & I have been loving seeing the improvement just after a couple of sessions.

Thank you again and I look forward to future mentoring sessions and following up in 6-Weeks time. - HJ
